xx SMACKDOWN RESULTS & SCREEN CAPS ((*spoilers*))
« Thread started on: Sep 27th, 2004, 03:13am »

TOTALLY STUNNED
Sept. 23, 2004

Kurt Angle promised to deliver a SmackDown! moment that would leave a permanent mark on the history of the show.

More specifically, Angle’s sickening version of payback left a giant mark on the Big Show.

Angle, who is scheduled to face Big Show at No Mercy on Oct. 3, had an evil way of softening up the 7-foot-2, 500-pounder at the end of Thursday night’s main event in Phoenix.

The Olympic Champion, still angry from when Show shoved him off a ledge five months ago, pulled out a tranquilizer dart from underneath the announcers' table while an unsuspecting Show was fending off Luther Reigns and Mark Jindrak in the middle of the ring.

Angle then fired a dart into the Big Show’s upper back, taking him down like some sadistic big-game hunter.

But Angle would take his rage one step further. With the help of Reigns and newfound ally Jindrak, the trio shaved most of Show’s head, stripping him of his dignity, and his hair.

It was a bizarre close to the 5th anniversary special and season premiere of SmackDown!

WWE Champion John Bradshaw Layfield certainly didn’t like what he saw. His plan to have former Ministry members Gangrel and Viscera dismantle Undertaker before their Last Ride Match at No Mercy didn’t quite work out. The Phenom crushed them with ease, as JBL watched from his limo wearing the look of a man on the verge of impending doom.

Paul London tried to wrestle former tag team partner Billy Kidman, but Kidman, who hasn’t been himself since accidentally injuring Chavo Guerrero with his Shooting Star Press, walked out on the match.

Instead, Booker T, who is preparing for his fifth and deciding match with John Cena for the United States Championship, was looking for some action. And with the help of the ropes, Booker T recorded a pin on London.

Spike Dudley defeated Rey Mysterio, but not without some help from Rene Dupree and Kenzo Suzuki, who violently interfered during and after the match. Mysterio would be rescued by Rob Van Dam, who will team up with Mysterio at No Mercy against Suzuki and Dupree for the WWE Tag Team Championship.

The night also featured an impromptu Schoolgirl Tag Team Match, featuring the lovely Torrie Wilson and Dawn Marie against the ancient pair of Mae Young and Fabulous Moolah. The old timers would actually pull out the victory, using some old-school savvy to upend the Divas.

The unstable giant Heidenreich would also read another poem, this one to Mr. McMahon.

MATCH RESULTS:
Big Show & Eddie Guerrero def. Kurt Angle & Luther Reigns (DQ)
Paul London def. Billy Kidman (count-out)
Booker T def. Paul London
Spike Dudley def. Rey Mysterio
Mae Young & Fabulous Moolah def. Torrie Wilson & Dawn Marie
Undertaker def. Gangrel & Viscera (Handicap Match)

Thanks to PWINsider's Cameron Leigh for sending the following report from the Smackdown taping in Wichita, Kansas:

I just got home from Smackdown and thought that I would send in a quick report.

The one dark match was quick with someone named Jordano or something getting a win (he reminded me of a Mongolian warrior or something).

Velocity matches:
Carlito Caribbean Cool beat an indy guy whose name I completely missed.

Torrie Wilson comes out to hype Velocity.

Johnny the Bull wrestled a decent match against Akio. Stamboli wins with a gorilla press into a power slam.

The Bashams in blue tights over two jobbers from Emporia, Kansas (Wrestlers from Emporia, KS? Really? Oh, brother). This was pretty boring.

Dupree and Suzuki had a nice match against Funaki and Shannon Moore. Faceplant on Moore (I think) and a win for the champions.

There may be another match here that I am forgetting but it's late...

Smackdown:

The show began with Angle introducing his new team of excellence: Jindrak and Luther. He talks about how Big Show throwing him off the balcony was a huge mistake. Theodore Long interrupts and explains that the match at No Mercy between Angle and Show is 1 on 1, with anyone interfering being fired.

JBL gets beat down during his backstage interview by Hardcore Holly. This sets up a non-title match later on in the evening.

Tag match: Dudleys vs. Rico & Haas. Dawn Marie comes to ringside to talk with Tazz and Cole. During the match, Dawn interferes and catfights with Jackie. This causes Rico to leave the match and Haas loses. More catfighting between Jackie and Dawn. Nice.

Cut to John Cena (backstage) hyping his match at No Mercy against Booker T. He said he isn't 5 times, he's 1 time, and that 1 is Booker T.

Heidenreich climbs up the Smackdown Fist to read a poem while Paul Heyman and others plead for him to get down. I found this to be a little tasteless to have someone up after Owen Hart's death in Kansas City. I thought that the WWE was finished with the high-up in the air, high risk stuff. I was in attendance when Owen fell and this with Heidenriech was hard to watch. Just my personal opinion.

JBL's match against Bob Holly is next. JBL gets the upperhand and pummels Holly after a few minutes of back and forth action. JBL bloodies Holly up by hitting him with the stairs. Ref calls for the bell. JBL continues to pummel Holly even after being disqualified. He then gets on the mic and tells UT that he is not scared of anyone. What's this? The lights go down (or blue) and The Undertaker appears on the Titan Tron Screen. He says that he has destroyed Gangrel, Viscera, and now Orlando. Orlando is shown hanging on the UT sign in the rafters (not unlike Austin from years back). JBL is terrified! Undertaker says that all that's left is JBL. UT goes away and JBL leaves looking frightened.

Booker T vs. Paul London. As Kidman looks on from the ramp, Booker gets a quick win with his kick. After the match, Kidman comes down to stop Booker T from hitting Paul London with a chair. Kidman then hits Paul with the chair himself.

Non-title Cruiser match with Spike going up against Nunzio. Johnny the Bull and D-Von and Bubba are ringside. After some cheating on the Dudley's part, Spike goes for the pin but Nunzio schoolboys him for an upset win. Good match!

Main Event Time! Eddie Guerrero plus a mystery partner vs. Luther Reigns and Mark Jindrak. Guerrero calls out his friend, RVD. Decent match. RVD blows a kick off of the ropes to Luther later in the match. The ending sees Luther putting his finisher on Eddie and then Jindrak squeaking out a win from it. Angle then comes down to beat down the good guys, but RVD and Eddie are able to get the upper hand by Angle accidentally taking out his own men. The bad guys leave and Eddie and RVD celebrate. Eventually, they head out of the ring and Eddie offers RVD a ride, they exit via the Low Rider.

Overall, a decent show. A lot of people were disappointed to see no Big Show, no Undertaker, no Cena, and no Rey Mysterio live! A go-home show before the PPV and none of these huge superstars? It seemed a little weird.

The following is an article from WWE.com:

Heidenreich didn’t read any poems at No Mercy Sunday.

But the unstable giant may have read Undertaker his last rites.

Heidenreich crashed Undertaker’s WWE Championship party, drugging the Phenom and then ramming a pick-up truck into the hearse with Taker still inside. His sadistic and shocking actions helped JBL retain the WWE Championship.

What condition is Taker in after this horrific incident? Why were Heidenreich and manager Paul Heyman even involved in the main event?

Obviously, don’t miss one of the most revealing episodes of SmackDown! from Boston this week on UPN (8/7 CT).

Plus, there should be plenty of fallout from the other matches at No Mercy, including John Cena defeating Booker T for the United States Championship, Big Show getting revenge on Kurt Angle and Billy Kidman defeating former tag team partner Paul London.

And while the rest of the SmackDown! roster is recuperating from the pay-per-view, a fresh face will arrive on the scene. Don’t miss the debut of Carlito Caribbean Cool.

Thanks for Mike Johnson of PWInsider for this report:

Dark and Velocity Matches:

*Shannon Moore pinned Akio with a rollup.

* Luther Reigns pinned Ricky Vega with roll of the dice.

*Torrie Wilson welcomes everyone to Velocity to pop the crowd and introduces the next match....

*Rob Van Dam pinned one of the Basham Brothers with the five star frog splash.

*The Dudley Boyz defeated the Full Blooded Italians. Bubba Ray Dudley was chanting "Let's Go Yankees" to get heat.

Smackdown!

*Smackdown Opens with John Cena, who says he usually makes fun of people but he has to give Booker T his respect. He talks about the Red Sox and the Patriots and made fun of Michael Cole. Carlito Caribbean Cool (Man, I loved him tonight and thought he was funny) makes his way to the ring. He says it would be cool if John Cena fought him for the United States title. They bicker back and forth. Carlito goes to grab the belt but Cena pulls it away and is hit with a COOL DDT. Teddy Long comes out and makes the main event Cena vs. Cool for the United States championship.

*Rey Mysterio defeats Kenzo Suzuki with a roll up Before the match, Kenzo sang "New York, New York" and did a kick line with Rene Dupree and Hiroko to get heat.

*WWE champion John Bradshaw Layfield did a promo, saying he was from New York City and insulted Boston - this may have been for just the live audience.

*Hardcore Holly defeated WWE champion John Bradshaw Layfield by countout. Layfield was busted open but walked out.

*Teddy Long announces John Bradshaw Layfield will defend the WWE championship against Hardcore Holly in a Hardcore match.

*Big Show pinned Mark Jindrak with a chokeslam. Kurt Angle did commentary. Eddie Guerrero attacked Luther Reigns and stopped him from interfering.

*Josh Matthews interviewed Carlito Caribbean Cool who said it would be cool when he becomes United States champion.

*Billy Kidman vs. Charlie Haas - I believe this went to a no contest but it could have been a DQ as the bell never rang. Kidman wouldn't do the shooting star press but hit the BK Bomb on Miss Jackie. Rico ran out for the save.

*Heidenrech came out and read a poem in the ring, then jumped into the crowd and threw some "fans" on the ground.

*Backstage, Booker T runs into Orlando Jordan. Jordan is being nice to him. Booker tells him never to touch him and if he does, "It's all over, sucka"

*Carlito Caribbean Cool defeats John Cena to become to new United States Champion after hitting him with a chain and knocking him out.

xx WWE Smackdown! *Spoilers* (10/26/04) - Omaha, Nebr
« Reply #7 on: Oct 28th, 2004, 02:09am »

Report by: Chris Metry, rajah.com reader

Just got back from the show in Omaha - the building can hold 17,000, but I’d say 6,000 tops - pretty sad - lots of black tarps.

Smackdown:

Tazz & Cole enter
Pyro

Tough Enough contestants shown walking with Al Snow to the locker room - Big Show kicked them out saying they had’nt earned it - so they came to the ring and each cut 20 second promos - then Big Show came out and gave each a body slam. (Personal note: as a wrestler in training my self, I hated this segment, one or two of them took good bumps, the rest were horrible. Even worse, after each slam, the guys just hoped right up - not selling for a second - just terrible)

Chavo Guerrero d. Nunzio with the Gorry Bomb. Billy Kidman was on comentary, and went to give Chavo the shooting star press, but missed.

Heidenreich begged Heyman to get Undertaker’s signature.

Teddy Long said if Booker beats Orlando tonight, he gets JBL at Survivor Series for the title.

Rey Mysterio d. Kurt Angle. Ref bump. Rey went for the 619 but was stopped by Jindrak and Luther - RVD came down, then Eddie ran in, gave Kurt the frog splash, and pulls Rey over for the pin.

Kurt, Jindrak, and Luther are yelling at Eddie, Rey, and RVD in Teddy Long’s office - Teddy says at Survivor Series - Kurt and Eddie will each captain a 4 man team for a classic Survivor Series elimination match.

Josh Mathews tries to interview Carlito, but is threatened by Carlito’s new associate Jesus - he holds Josh while Carlito spits the apple in his face.

Kenzo tries to sing to Torrie again - but she says he’s freaking her out.

Big Show tells Eddie he wants to be the 4th man on his team, Eddie agrees.

Halloween costume contest - Torrie is a fairy, and Dawn Marie is a nurse - before the judging can begin, Miss Jackie attacks and strips Dawn Marie.

All three Dudleys ask for one of them to be the 4th man on Kurt’s team, Kurt says if they can get rid on Big Show - he will agree. Spike says no problem, Bubba and D-Von look frustrated.

Booker T d. Orlando Jordan. Afterward JBL almost teased turning on Orlando, but they shook hands - JBL says Booker will be just another opponent in his path.

Fun show live, no Undertaker, so I assume they will film something elsewhere involving Taker and Heyman

WE HAVE A MATCH
Oct. 28, 2004

Before Thursday night’s SmackDown!, Booker T was little more than a slight annoyance to WWE Champion JBL.
But before the main event in Omaha, Neb., was over, Booker T suddenly became a much bigger problem.
With a spot opposite JBL at Survivor Series on the line, Booker T defeated JBL Chief of Staff Orlando Jordan. After announcing that Booker T isn’t “in his league” as a singles competitor, JBL will get a chance to prove it Nov. 14 in Cleveland with the WWE Championship on the line.
Meanwhile, the seven remaining finalists for the $1,000,000 Tough Enough got a rude introduction to the business during their first night on the job.
Each contestant was allotted 20 seconds to call out the Big Show, who moments earlier had kicked the rookies out of the main lockerroom. Show then came out to meet them face-to-face in the center of the ring.
Each one earned a body slam for their trouble, including an extra elbow and knee to the chest for two of the competitors.
Paul Heyman’s quest to find the Undertaker turned out to be both successful and terrifying all at once.
The manager of unstable Superstar Heidenreich found Undertaker at an undisclosed and dark location. Heyman even managed to get his signature on a contract to face his client at Survivor Series.
But before he could escape, The Phenom put his hand around Heyman’s neck and promised that Survivor Series wouldn’t be hosting a match as much as it would be the site of an execution.
Kurt Angle and Rey Mysterio had another exciting match that eventually turned into a mess as Luther Reigns, Mark Jindrak, Rob Van Dam and Eddie Guerrero all ended up interfering after the referee momentarily went down.
Guerrero would get in the last word with a Frog Splash on Angle, costing him the match.
SmackDown! General Manager Theodore Long then met with all six Superstars back stage and announced that he was sick and tired of all the interference lately. As a result, Survivor Series will have some old school flavor with a 4-on-4 elimination tag team match:
Guerrero, Mysterio, RVD and partner of choice vs. Angle, Reigns, Jindrak and partner of choice.
Well, it didn’t take long for Latino Heat to enlist Big Show as his giant fourth.
Angle then had a meeting with Spike Dudley later on in the program. The Dudley boss promised to help eliminate Angle’s 7-foot problem if, in turn, one of the Dudleys was selected to join Angle’s team.
Torrie Wilson and Dawn Marie had a Halloween Costume Contest, but before the fans could declare a winner, Miss Jackie stormed the ring and attacked Dawn for her latest steamy speech about fiancée Charlie Haas.
United States Champion Carlito Caribbean Cool maintained he had nothing to do with the incident in Boston involving John Cena. Carlito said he left the nightclub as soon as Cena arrived.
Michael Cole announced Cena is making progress and his kidney would be saved.
Also, in his first match back, Chavo Guerrero defeated Nunzio and also managed to avoid a Shooting Star Press from the reckless Billy Kidman, who was doing commentary during the match.

MATCH RESULTS:
Chavo Guerrero defeats Nunzio
Rey Mysterio def. Kurt Angle
Booker T def. Orlando Jordan

xx **SPOILERS** WWE SmackDown! Taping Results Nov 2nd
« Reply #9 on: Nov 3rd, 2004, 02:32am »

Thanks to PWInsider for the following:

Dark Match:

*Chris Masters defeated Funaki.

Sunday Night Heat:

*Chavo Guerrero defeated WWE Cruiserweight champion Spike Dudley in a non-title match.

*Billy Kidman pinned Rico.

*Eddie Guerrero pinned Danny Basham. After the match, Doug Basham berated his brother, saying he can't believe Danny lost and he was lucky Doug was around or else he would be "SOL."

Smackdown

*Smackdown opens with all the Tough Enough contestants in the ring. Kurt Angle comes out and asks them their names and berates them. He tells them they are going to have a contest tonight and whoever wins will get a special prize. He says that whoever does the squat thrusts will win. Al Snow counted them off and if someone did them wrong, they would have to leave the ring. The winner, Ryan Reeves (at least I believe that is who it was) received a match with Kurt Angle.

*Kurt Angle defeated Ryan Reeves in a quick match, destroying him. Angle asked any of the others if they wanted to get in the ring with him. Daniel Puder came in and they started wrestling. He was matching Angle for 2 minutes but was pinned.

Backstage, Josh Matthews tried to interview Orlando Jordan, but Jordan was cut off by John Bradshaw Layfield. Layfield slapped him and said that he needs to respect the Chief of Staff. Matthews says that he is tired of being abused by them and if Jordan expects to win, Jordan needs to get his head in the game.

*Booker T defeated Orlando Jordan via DQ when JBL interfered. They laid out Booker and JBL hit the clothesline from hell.

*The Dudley Boyz are talking when Spike tells them that he cut a deal with Kurt Angle to take out one of their opponents at Survivor by calling out The Big Show and attacking him.

*Backstage, Josh Matthews tells Teddy Long that he is tired of being abused by JBL and Jordan. Long tells him that he has to maintain his professionalism. Booker T barges in and demands a match against Booker and Jordan tonight. Long says that he doesn't want to sanction a handicap match, so Josh says that he wants to be Booker's partner. They make a tag match for later in the show.

*The Dudleys call out The Big Show. They hit him with 3-D and try to do it again through several tables, but he chokeslams them through the tables. Spike runs off.

*They show Rob Van Dam and Rey Mysterio talking in the back.

*Rob Van Dam & Rey Mysterio defeated Luther Reigns & Mark Jindrak. As Rey and Van Dam were leaving, Carlito Caribbean Cool and Jesus Aguilera made their way down the aisle. Carlito spit apple in RVD's face. All four heels laid them out until Eddie Guerrero made the save with a chair.

*Teddy Long and Eddie Guerrero talked about Survivor Series. They mentioned that Carlito will be the next member of Angle's team. Teddy told Eddie that Rey couldnt be part of his team because Long made a Cruiserweight championship match at the PPV with Spike Dudley defending against Rey Mysterio, Chavo Guerrero, and Billy Kidman. Long told Eddie he has until next week to pick his partner.

*Miss Jackie defeated Dawn Marie in an armwrestling contest. Dawn said she was going to dedicate her victory to "her Charlie." After Jackie won, Dawn flipped the table over and they had a catfight. Haas came out trying to stop it, but was attacked by Heidenreich. He hits his shoulderbreaker on Haas. Jackie tries to stop him but is shoved down. Heyman comes out and tries to calm Heidenreich.

*They lined up the Tough Enough contestants on the stage. Snow pushed the fans to vote, saying the voting will end Monday at midnight. The person with the least amount of votes will be sent home. Torrie Wilson told them that next week they will take the Torrie Wilson sex test and hopes that they will all be up for it.

*Booker T & Josh Matthews defeated WWE champion John Bradshaw Layfield & Orlando Jordan. Matthews hit a sliding kick on Layfield that may have busted up JBL's nose. Josh and Booker T celebrated after with spinaroonies.

SMACKDOWN

The Tough Enough contestants entered the ring and Al Snow announced that Nick Mitchell has been eliminated from the competition. Next we jumped into the Torrie Wilson Sex Test. The rules of the test were that each contestant would have to make out with a WWE diva for 15 seconds. Then the Diva would choose which contestant would make the best lover. Of course the Diva picked for this task was Mae Young. The lucky winner was Daniel Puder who then received a lap dance from Mae.

Rey Mysterio walked in on Chavo having a conversation with someone Chavo claimed to be an old friend. Which made most people in the crowd think Chavo Classic because he works indie shots in town on a semi-regular basis.

Rey Mysterio and Chavo def. Kidman and Spike when Rey hits Spike with a top rope splash.

Orlando Jordan meets up with Josh Mathews backstage. He tells Josh that he respects him and then attacks him with 2 hard slaps. After the commercial break, Josh Mathews asks Teddy Long for a match against Orlando Jordan. JBL will be in Jordan’s corner and Booker T will be in Mathews’ corner.

Josh Mathews def. Orlando Jordan after interference from Booker T.

RVD, Eddie, and Big Show cut a promo concerning who will be the 4th member of their Survivor Series tag team.

Eddie and RVD def. Luther Reigns and Mark Jindrak after a double frogsplash. Carlito Caribbean Cool is on commentary during the match and spits apple at Michael Cole. Post match Eddie names John Cena the 4th member of his Survivor Series team.

Carlito cuts a promo with Teddy Long on John Cena.

Tough Enough voting segment.

JBL vows to leave Smackdown forever if he loses to Booker T this Sunday at Survivor Series.

Paul Heyman comes out and argues with Michael Cole and eventually shoves Cole. Tazz scares Heyman into the ring and out comes Heidenriech. Tazz removes his jacket and starts up the ring steps and out go the lights for the Undertaker. After a short brawl, Taker chokeslams, then tombstones, Heidenriech.

The Big Show def Kurt Angle via DQ when Jindrak and Luther Reigns interfere. Both Survivor Series teams were at ringside for the match. Carlito laied out both Eddie and RVD with the chain, which led to the finish. Kurt Angle, Luther and Jindrak put Show in a submission hold. Finally Show was helped to the back.

SMACKDOWN! SPOILERS

Right off the bat, John Cena came out and did a little promo/rhyme about his match tonight with Carlito Caribbean Cool for the US title.

Next was the stupid Tough Enough segment. This was the time when I should have went to the bathroom to keep from ruining my night, but I didn’t. In any event, tonight their challenge was to make it past the Basham Brothers. Sounds easy enough. Basically they had 30 seconds, and the ring was divided into a few sections. In the corner where the guy stood there was a line that he had to start from behind. On the side where the Bashams were, there was a line marking off a big section. These were diagonal with a flag attached to the corner where the Bashams were. The object was to simply get through the Bashams and take the flag. They really weren’t allowed to do much of anything in terms of hitting, etc. Everyone’s strategy seemed to be run as fast as they could to try to get past them and the Bashams’ strategy seemed to be to keep them off their feet. Really, only the big military guy and Puder had a chance. The big guy pulled along the ropes at one point dragging the Bashams with him, but he ran out of time. Puder made it close to the corner too, but was taken down.

In the end nobody got the flag. - During all of this, one of the Bashams kept having problems with his contact lens. At first it came out, then Chimmel cleaned it for him or just handed it back, one of the two, and he put it back in but it kept bugging him the whole time he was out there. At one point the ref signaled to the back that he would be OK to finish up out there, but he had trouble with his eye the whole time. After each of the contestants takes a run at them, they go back to their corner where Al Snow would talk to them for a minute, trying to stall a little while the Bashams were off camera on their side of the ring while the one was playing with his contact. One camera shot somewhat through the contest will show the guy in his corner and the Basham with the eye problem on his knees trying to make it better. This is the only indication that you will see of this unless Cole and Tazz say something about it.

*Chavo Guerrero over Billy Kidman

Carlito & Jesus go to Teddy Long’s office and Carlito tries to get out of the match. He takes his shoulder x-rays and a doctor’s note but Teddy tells him that he is not getting out of it or he will be stripped of the title.

*Charlie Haas w/ Jackie over Heidenreich via Countout
I don’t know what was a bigger waste of time, the Tough Enough stuff or this. They basically wrestled for like 30 seconds. Heidenreich then leaves the ring and sort of falls to the floor. He then climbed over the railing and laid down on the floor by everyone in the fetal position. This went on for about 3 or 4 minutes until Sgt. Slaughter among others came out to try to get stupid to get up. Heyman gave him his jacket which he hugged for a while and then he finally left like 5 minutes later. I’m sure that they will probably cut this down on TV, but I had to sit through it, unfortunately. Everyone was pretty much quiet during most of this. There was one small boring chant, but there was also one loud SLAUGHTER chant! All he did was come out and they chanted his name.

RVD & Rey Mysterio were shown in the back getting ready for their match. RVD introduced Rey to the girl on the floor, his new personal trainer: Michelle McCool from the RAW Diva Search Contest.

*RVD & Rey Mysterio over Kenzo Suzuki w/ Hiroko & Rene Dupree (non-title)

Video that aired during Survivor Series was shown reminding us that WWE will go back overseas again this Christmas. That got a big cheer.

Kurt Angle came out and introduced his way of ‘giving back’, the Kurt Angle Invitational. He said that every week he will let a ‘hometown hero’ come out and try to pin him. If anyone can, then he will personally deliver to him the prize, Kurt Angle’s Olympic Gold Medal.

*Kurt Angle over Dean Visk (?)

JBL is shown backstage introducing Orlando to his new image consultant: Amy Weber from the RAW Diva Search Contest.

JBL comes out and does a promo about how it’s great to be the champ and that he won just like he said that he would. Basically, everyone who wants a title shot comes out from here. Booker T comes out and talks a little bit. Then Eddie Guerrero comes out in a car (They had the mirror thing pulled out of the way and he had the headlights on for like 3 minutes before he came out, but everyone seemed surprised when he came out). Eddie talked for just a minute and then the lights went out. UNDERTAKER came out next. This is when the place erupted because nobody thought that he would actually be there. Undertaker never said a word all night, he just sort of stood there. JBL was visibly scared. Teddy Long came out after a minute and said that JBL’s next title defense would be a Fatal Fourway with all of the names just mentioned. Later in the night they showed a graphic which showed that match as being at SmackDown!’s next PPV. Eventually, Booker T and then Eddie left. Undertaker was still standing in the same spot and would not leave. This is where JBL turned into a comedian and started saying things like he would give him a three count to leave the ring and that “These people don’t want to see you kick my ass". After some more antics, Undertaker finally did knock the tar out of JBL and Orlando, too. Undertaker eventually left after doing so and then JBL turned into a comedian again. Instead of quietly “coming to", he slowly rolled from where he was at to the end of the ring by the ramp. Each time he rolled over, he said something funny into the mic and everybody enjoyed this thoroughly. These included things like “I can’t feel my left foot” and “I feel like Ohio State playing against anybody: I got my ass kicked.”

Carlito was shown in the back getting his shoulder massaged by WWE’s newest licensed masseuse: Joy Giovanni *US Championship: John Cena over Carlito Caribbean Cool
The match was extremely short. It was built to Cena winning all night through a series of MANY, MANY video clips that aired before or after commercial breaks ALL NIGHT recapping ALL events between Cena and Carlito. Basically, John beat up Carlito for a minute, then Jesus, then he hit Carlito with a chair (missed completely hitting the pole but oh well), then he took out Jesus one final time and pinned Carlito for an easy three count. It was extremely short (3-4 minutes), but it kept Carlito from working too much and getting hurt more.

After the match, Jesus attacked Cena, punching him in the back where his scar should have been. This made Cena need like 10 refs and a stretcher to leave. To make matters worse, to call for the stretcher, Patrick threw up the now famous “X” sign about five times in a row. I guess this was to make those who think they know what’s going on feel like maybe they don’t, but I obviously wasn’t fooled.

OVERALL, I drove from Cincinnati to Dayton (around 50 miles and an hour each way) any really didn’t think that this show was worth it. Maybe if my ticket was only $20, but it was close to $50 total. I had more fun and enjoyed the show more when I went to see ROH last month in Dayton at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds (plus I met Ricky Steamboat). ROH is coming back in February and I will definitely be going to that show, but I’m not sure if I will be driving to Dayton again for garbage like tonight’s show. Maybe if they are in Cincinnati, it’s RAW (not SD!), and I don’t have anything else to do.

Smackdown results LIVE from Rochester, NY
11/23/04

DARK MATCH:
Match 1: Chris Masters over Hardcore Holly (some Renee Dupree punishment possibly?) Masters is a developmental talent from OVW.

VELOCITY:

Match 2: Shannon Moore & Nunzio & Chavo Guerrero over Billy Kidman & Akio &Spike Dudley. SHANNON MOORE pinned Spike. Yes, for real. With a flipping neckbreaker.

Match 3: Luther Reigns & Mark Jindrak pinned McCallister? & A-1 (possibly the steaksauce tyblack person?) Nothing special here, it was short and painful.

*Match 4: Bashams over Paul London & Funaki. Again, short and not so sweet but it was great seeing London again.

SMACKDOWN:

Match 1: Rey Mysterio Jr. over Renee Dupree in a pretty decent match. Rey won after the 619 and a springboard legdrop. Renee's eye looked F'n sick. Damn that Bob Holly.

Next was the Tough Enough Competition. This week they had to Armwrestle one another in a mini tournament.

Heres the results:
Dan was eliminated before the arm wrestling.
Puder over The Miz
Ryan over Justice
Puder over Ryan, so Puder wins again. weee!

Next were some little segments. Firstly, Carlito Carribean Cool and Jesus talked about how Cena attacked Carlito before the match last week and cost him the US belt. Carlito then gave Jesus Cena's chain and lock because he took him out after the match last week.

After that was a segment of Kenzo Suzuki watching Torrie Wilson on a monitor while his Hiroko was telling him about Thanksgiving. When she asked Kenzo what part of the turkey he wanted, he said he wanted some Breasts.

Then there was a Bradshaw promo. He basically put down Indians and talked about how affirmitive action doesnt work. That was follows by a Rey Jr Promo with RVD talking about their tag title shot.

Match 2: Rob Van Dam over Kenzo Suzuki via DQ after Kenzo used Hiroko's scarf to choke RVD out. Torrie was the ring announcer and after the match, Kenzo went after her and RVD made the save.

Next was a Big Show Thanksgiving segment. He talked about how he ate his parents out of house and home and how his favorite holiday is Thanksgiving. Show invited everyone (Tazzzzz,Cole,Chimel etc) to the ring for a feast. Luther came out, pied that Diva Search chick and then there was a foodfight like every Thanksgiving. The Diva Search chick hit Show in the face with the pie to end the segment.

Match 3: Kurt Angle over Cody Steele. This was part of Kurt's invitational challenge. Steele said he was from Rochester, but a "Liar" chant rang out because we know he's from the Niagara Falls, Ontario area. Angle beat him with the ankle lock. Everyone thought it would be local favorite and Tough Enough winner Matt Cappotelli that was going to challenge Kurt. No dice though.

A video then aired talking about how WWE went to Iraq during the holidays last year and to support the troops. Then the video said that they'd be returning back again this year during the holidays. Good for them, pretty classy.

Match 4: Dawn Marie and Miss Jackie went to a no contest in some Thanksgiving costume gimmick type of match. Charlie Haas had to seperate the two of them after the match was thrown out.

Main Event Match 5: JBL & Orlando Jordan over Booker T & Eddy Guerrero after interference from who (I believe) were the Dudley Boyz or the Basham Brothers. It was hard to tell cause they were wearing masks and then did the reveal, so don't quote me on that. After the Match, the gong rang and the arena went dark. Out came the Undertaker to take out JBL and Orlando. Weeeee!

No Cena this week, which wasnt a suprise. I'd say most of the hard camera side was tarped off and the crowd was clumped together so it should look good on TV. Other than that, it wasnt a bad show since I got in free and all. Free wrestling is good wrestling!

Biggest Pops (in no order):

Puder
RVD
Eddy
Rey Jr
