We see Mohammad Hussan and Khosrow Daivari show up on the TitanTron. Hussan wants to know how it feels to have a nice normal time and then in an instant, your whole world changes and the fun stops. All you have you do is question why. Arab-Americans have felt like that for three years now since 9/11. For tonight, enjoy your party and next week, Mohammad Hussan will finally be making his debut. The party will be over then and he stares hard as we go to commercial.

The WWE Rewind recaps the encounter between Simon Dean and The Hurricane.

Simon Dean’s music hits and he makes his way out with a gym bag and some Simon fitness powder. He takes the mic and tonight, he wants to talk to you about his Simon system. But, the only way GM Jericho would allow that to happen is if he competed in his first wrestling match. So, before he beats the bejeezus out of his opponent, he wants to talk about his fitness powder. Hurricane interrupts him and he makes his way out and Simon continues to plug his powder.

Match #2 (Singles) - Simon Dean vs. The Hurricane:

Simon gets down on all fours and he wants the Hurricane to pin him. He rolls him up in an Oklahoma roll and Simon kicks out. The Hurricane beats the hell out of Simon Dean and then puts him in a front face lock. Simon backs him up into a corner and the ref breaks them up. Simon clocks him with a right and follows it up with a backbreaker. Simon stomps away at him and then chokes him with his foot. Simon Sucks chants are running rampant through the arena and Simon body slams The Hurricane. He drops a few elbows and then goes for a pin, but the Hurricane kicks out. Simon chokes The Hurricane with his hands while doing a push up and then he picks up Hurricane. Hurricane comes back to take down Simon into a pin, but Simon kicks out and he is back in control as he knees Hurricane’s arm.

Simon has Hurricane in a rear chin lock and the Hurricane is fading away. He comes to and recovers by nailing Simon in the gut. Simon connects with a knee and he goes to run the ropes, but the Hurricane comes back with a couple of clotheslines and a hurricanrana. Hurricane is whipped into a corner, but he uppercuts Simon to fight out of it. The Hurricane connects with an Impaler and he sets him up for a Shining Wizard. Simon ducks and rolls Hurricane up with a handful of tights.

Winner: Simon Dean

We go back to August 16th where Trish decides to hold a surprise bridal shower for Lita. Molly, Gail, and Trish give Lita condoms and some birth control and even show off a picture of their “baby” and Lita’s first kiss from Kane and now it’s time for another commercial.

We see The Coach backstage with Randy Orton. Orton, of all people, has to be pleased with Vince’s announcement of Triple H being no longer the World champion. Orton did everything he could to keep Triple H from keeping the title and he has succeeded. Orton notices that the Coach has a frown on his face and Orton feels it’s because he can’t get laid.

We then hear Edge’s music hits and Edge comes down to the ring. He takes the mic and he came here tonight ready to defend his World title. But, let him get this straight. The World title, the Holy Grail of the wrestling industry is being held up. The World title is being held up until Bischoff decides what to do with it next week. That is a travesty, a crime against Edge. It makes him sick and the fans a disgrace. You tapped out chants sound throughout the arena. Everyone knows that he won the battle royal and in his first ever World title match, he won. He did not tap out, he pinned Chris Benoit 1-2-3 in the middle of the ring. Then, the World title was his, he held it in his hands and he never felt anything so good in his life. But, it was ripped away from him and he was screwed again. He blames one person for that and that person is Randy Orton. Randy could have done the right thing, he saw the footage. He saw that Edge won the battle royal and could have made it Edge vs. Benoit for the title. He can’t help that Orton’s reign was a complete and utter failure and it doesn’t mean he can screw Edge. He calls out Orton and Orton comes down to the ring all fired up.

He takes the mic and he responds to Edge’s claims. Orton could have let Evolution wreak havoc, but he didn’t. Orton tells Edge he is nothing. If Edge kicked his ass, Orton would kick it back. If Edge wants someone to blame, he should blame himself. Edge knew he would say something like that but Orton interrupts him. If there is a failure in this ring, it’s Edge. In case Orton forgot, Edge ended his IC title reign and as far as Edge is concerned, Orton is his bitch. They get into a fight and refs are forced to come out to break it up. We also see Sgt. Slaughter and other agents come out to help break it up, but even they can’t keep the two from fighting.

The officials finally manage to separate the two competitors, but this could turn into one intense feud. Edge certainly has the mic skills for being a heel and it’s time for another commercial.

Match #3 (IC Title) - Shelton Benjamin © vs. Captain Charisma (w/ Tyson Tomko):

Tyson Tomko has to drag the Captain out from backstage and he looks like a ripoff of the Flash. He has Cs on both sides of his mask to serve as horns, a CC plastered across the chest, and his outfit is red and yellow.

Shelton Benjamin laughs it up and as Christian charges, Shelton puts out a hand and you can actually hear Christian’s shoes squeal and he slides to a halt. The Captain hits a monkey flip, but Shelton lands on his feet. Shelton goes up top and connects with a flying clothesline and goes for a pin, but the Captain kicks out. The Captain is in control now as he stomps on Shelton and he smacks him around. Shelton tries to fight back, but the Captain comes back by suplexing him on the ropes. The Captain goes for a pin, but Shelton kicks out. Shelton is put into an abdominal stretch (JR flubbed again by calling the Captain “Christian Charisma”). Shelton comes back with a cross body into a pin, but the Captain kicks out. Shelton’s recovering in a corner, but as the Cap charges, Shelton ducks and the Cap bounces off the turnbuckle.

The Cap tries to fight his way back inside and he goes up top. He comes off, but Shelton hits him to counter it. Shelton hits a Russian leg sweep and goes for a pin, but Cap kicks out. Cap comes back with a catapult into the corner, but Shelton lands on the ropes and flies off with a flying sunset flip. The Cap comes back by rolling up Shelton, but Shelton kicks out. Tyson tries to interfere, allowing the Cap to pick up the IC title. He misses with the belt shot, but the ref sees it and disposes of it. The Cap and his sidekick double team Shelton, but it has no avail as Cap kicks out of the pin attempt. Tyson once again tries to interfere as he grabs Shelton’s leg, but as he lets go, Shelton spins around to connect with the Dragon Whip on Cap.

Shelton defeats Cap with a T-Bone suplex for the win.

Winner: Shelton Benjamin

Jericho comes out and announces that next week it’ll be Edge vs. Orton. Fozzy plays some music to help the Captain leave the ring (a rock version of na, na, na goodbye…blah blah blah)

The Smackdown Rebound features Teddy Long telling JBL and OJ that they’ll be in a handicap match against the Undertaker. I see that OJ is growing some hair (I’ve been working Thursday nights lately and have been missing Smackdown for the past few weeks). JBL, OJ, and the Bashams deliver one hell of a beating to the Undertaker after their match.

Commercial Break

We see Trish coming out during Lita’s wedding and dissing Lita. We see Trish getting the crap beat out of her and then we go backstage.

Snitsky ambushes Lita and he continues to torment her about her miscarried baby and Kane being out of action. The announcers take us back to the beginning of RAW where Vince says the World title has been vacated for the time being until Bischoff returns next week.

Backstage, we see Triple H and Flair in the locker room. They’re talking on the cellphone trying to get a hold of Bischoff. He leaves a message trying to convince Bischoff to give him his title back. Someone needs to kick Flair in the ass because I’m kinda getting sick of him always sucking up to Triple H. I sure hope Bischoff will come to his senses and will award someone OTHER than Triple H the title, or at least do something that doesn’t involve Triple H in any way, shape, or form. Triple H doesn’t need the title to get over with the crowd, so he should let it go and let someone else run with it…someone like Edge or Chris Jericho. Up next will be that tag match I told you about earlier as we go to commercial.

Match #4 (Tag) - Batista (w/ Ric Flair) & Triple H vs. Chris Jericho & Chris Benoit:

Lilian announces Triple H as the former World champ and he takes exception to that. He runs down the ramp and chases Lilian from ringside (I had to laugh after hearing Lilian say that, but she shouldn’t have to take his crap).

Triple H & Benoit start off this match. They lock up and Triple H backs Benoit into a corner. Benoit reverses and fires off some rights followed by some chops. Benoit rams Triple H’s head into the turnbuckle before tagging in Jericho. Jericho kicks Triple H in the gut and Jericho kicks him in the head to cause Triple H to flop a la Ric Flair. Jericho is still in control as he continues to take down Hunter and he falls into the ropes before Jericho tags in Benoit. Benoit fires off more chops and follows it up with a snap suplex. Benoit stomps hard on Hunter and Benoit manages to get him into a Crossface, but Batista pulls Triple H out of it. They lock up and they rumble around the ring . Benoit blocks a punch and Jericho is tagged in. Jericho chops away at Hunter and fake Irish whips Triple H around back into the same corner and out of the ring. Jericho & Benoit double team Batista to take him out of the equation. Jericho & Benoit stand triumphant in the ring as we go to commercial.

Back on RAW, Batista has Jericho in a camel clutch, and we see that Flair distracted the ref during the commercial to allow Batista get to where he was. Triple H had Jericho in an ab stretch before he tags in Batista. Batista does some damage and Triple H is tagged back in. Triple H chokes Y2J on the ropes and the ref breaks it up. The distraction allows Flair to get in a cheap shot, much to the elation of the crowd.

Triple H hits a neckbreaker and goes for a pin, but Y2J kicks out. Batista is tagged in and he continues to work on Jericho. Jericho is choked on the turnbuckle with Batista’s foot and now Jericho tries to fight back. Batista whips Jericho into a corner and follows it with a clothesline. Batista goes for a pin, but Y2J kicks out. Batista whips Y2J again into a corner, but Y2J dropkicks him in the knee to fight back.

I still wanna think Benoit is Christian due to his bright yellow tights. Triple H is tagged in and then Benoit is tagged in and he cleans house. Benoit is hammering away with great intensity at Triple H. Benoit manages to connect with the rolling Germans and then Jericho comes in to deliver a Lionsault. Benoit follows it up with a flying headbutt and Jericho tries to put Hunter in the Walls. Benoit comes in to cinch a Crossface, but Batista knocks both men off The Game. Batista pummels Jericho into submission and then chokes him on the turnbuckle with his foot. Triple H brings in a chair and nails Benoit to cause a disqualification.

Winner by DQ: Chris Benoit & Chris Jericho

Post-match, Triple H hits the ref with the chair and Batista holds Jericho, but as Triple H charges, Jericho ducks and he inadvertently hits Batista. Triple H does hit Jericho with the chair eventually, but Flair asks Hunter what he has done. Triple H & Flair help Batista and Triple H apologizes for what he did, but then he decides to give up and get angry. Triple H leaves the ring and Flair continues to check on Batista.

Backstage, we see that Trish’s nose has healed and a couple of crew members decide to stop and check out Trish’s ass. Lita shows up and she wants to know whose career she’ll be ending tonight. Lita responds with “yours” and plants a kiss on Trish’s lips as we go to commercial.

Main Event (Women’s Title) - Trish Stratus © vs. Lita:

Guess I was wrong about Trish’s nose as she is making her way down to the ring with her face mask on.

They lock up and they end up falling out of the ring. Trish quickly gets back in followed by LIta. Trish goes downstairs on Lita with right hands. Lita tries to send Trish into a corner, but Trish counters and puts Lita into a corner instead. Trish whips Lita, but Lita kicks her in the face. Trish does the Matrix move, but Lita kicks her feet out. Lita goes for a pin, but Trish kicks out. Trish tries to regain control, but Lita ends up dumping her out of the ring.

Lita hits a suicide dive, but Lita lands awkwardly on her head (she hit the mat with the top of her head and then flipped over) and I hope she’s okay. Lita gets back into the ring, and Trish takes off her face guard. She hits Lita in the face with it, but the ref didn’t catch it. Lita tries to get up, but Trish tosses her back down. Trish mounts Lita and punches her, and I seriously hope Lita didn’t fuck up her neck again. Trish goes up and pulls Lita up into a hangman’s choke. Lita fights back and puts Trish into a sleeper, but Trish gets out of it and regains control. Trish snapmares Lita and puts her into a full nelson sleeper hold.

Lita is back in control as she goes up top to deliver a superplex to Trish Stratus. Lita could actually win the title as both women are down. Lita rolls over into a cover, but Trish kicks out. Lita tries for a clothesline, but misses and this allows Trish to hit the Chick Kick. Lita is able to kick out of the pin and Trish puts Lita into a corner and goes up for the 10 punches. Lita counters this with a powerbomb and she goes up top. Trish recovers and gets her into an electric chair, but Lita counters it into a sunset flip and I can not keep up with this match. This women’s match is very fast-paced and exciting, and I see that Lita hits a Twist of Fate followed by a moonsault to FINALLY pin the Women’s Champion and she is able to win the WWE Women’s Championship. Let me tell you folks, this has been one of the best women’s matches I’ve seen in a long time and I guess I can actually say that Lita really deserved the title, even though I had my doubts when she first returned. She is still inconsistent with her ring work, but it has improved compared to that of a few months ago. I’m glad she finally overcame the odds and won the title.

Winner and NEW WWE Women’s Champion: Lita

xx WWE RAW Report (12/13/04) - Hunstville, Alabama
« Reply #33 on: Dec 14th, 2004, 01:45am »

Raw is live tonight from the Von Braun Center in Huntsville, Alabama.

Quarter Hour 1

Jim Ross and Jerry “The King” Lawler welcomed viewers to the show as General Manager Eric Bischoff headed down the ramp carrying the World Heavyweight Title Belt. He noted that he’d come back from vacation to a vacated World Heavyweight Championship and a new Women’s Title holder. He was not pleased.

Bischoff began to recap the history of the disputed title until Triple H rudely interrupted him. Due to the special circumstances, Triple H felt that the title should revert to him. Of course, Chris Benoit and Edge chimed in with their thoughts on the subject. They came to blows backstage and had to be pulled apart.

Bischoff decided if they wanted to fight so bad, they could do it in the ring tonight.

(Commercial break)

(1) Randy Orton pinned Edge. Loud “You Tapped Out” chant from the crowd, which angered Edge and brought a smile to Orton’s face. Good even action…until the “You Suck” chant started. Poor Edge. Double drop kicks, which was a good visual. Orton clotheslined Edge to the outside. But first…

(Another commercial break.)

Quarter Hour 2

Back from the break, Orton was slamming Edge into the ring steps. Back in the ring, Orton had Edge in a submission hold. The momentum turned in favor of Edge, and Orton found himself on the outside. As Orton tried to climb back into the ring, Edge speared him right into the security wall. Edge got Orton back into the ring and went for a pin. Orton got a foot on the rope, and Edge grew frustrated. Edge had Orton tied up in a modified sleeper and Orton tried to battle his way out of it. He finally made it to his feet, and the two began to trade punches. They collided in mid-ring and the ref started counting them out. Both got to their feet and Edge came off the top turnbuckle. Orton met him in mid-air with a drop kick. They traded right hands again. Orton got a near fall. Then Edge got a near fall. Edge with another near fall off a backslide. Orton with a power slam on Edge. Orton climbed to the top turnbuckle and came off with an attempted crossbody. Edge moved in time, then set up a spear. Orton moved and Edge crashed into the ring post. Orton with the RKO and the winning pin

In the dressing room, Ric Flair was scheming with Triple H. Batista walked up and told Triple to go out and dominate. That seemed to please Triple H, but Batista may have had something else in mind.

(Commercial break)

Clips aired of the Macon, Georgia, house show. Come to our house shows…please.

Christy and assorted Diva Search losers were in the ring shooting tee shirts into the crowd. (At least she’s doing something for that quarter of a million dollars.)

Suddenly, Gene Snitsky jumped into the ring and scared the divas. He said he loved to have fun, and he planned to have some fun with them. (He certainly is a smooth talker.) He wanted to dance, then grabbed Christy around the neck. He told her he wasn’t having fun unless someone was suffering.

Lita appeared at the top of the ramp. She said picking on women must make him feel like a big man. She said her husband, Kane, would be coming back, and when he does, Kane would “beat the holy hell” out of the Big Snit.

That did it. He dropped Christy and ran after Lita. The dreaded Wall of Fire stopped him as Lita ran back stage.

(Commercial break)

Quarter Hour 4

Triple H’s movie, “Blade Trinity,” opened last week. Clips aired of himself walking the red carpet at the premiere.

Candace was putting makeup on Christian as he complained to Tyson Tomko about the stupid sequined costume he was forced to wear. He criticized Candice’s eye shadow, then blew her off. He ran into Eugene, who recognized him right away as Captain Charisma.

Mick Foley walked up and Eugene went off with his hero, but not before stealing Foley’s cheap pop by mentioning Bobby Eaton, who’s from right here in Huntsville, Alabama.

Bischoff was in his office, officially signing Simon Dean to a contract, when Benoit barged in to demand a Triple Threat Rematch tonight.

(Commercial break)

(2) Batista & Triple H (w/Ric Flair) vs. Chris Benoit & Chris Jericho. Benoit was even more intense than usual as he and Triple H started things off. Batista and Jericho tagged in, Triple H tagged in. Jericho turned the tables on Triple H until he ran into Triple H’s high knee.

Quarter Hour 5

Batista tagged back in and Irish whipped Jericho into the corner. A loud “Y2J” chant started as Batista put him in a submission hold.

J.R. said Mick Foley would be making an important announcement tonight.

Batista used the tag rope to choke Jericho. Triple H tagged in as J.R. said referee Jack Doan may be filing a lawsuit because of the chair shot he took last week. It had required several staples to close.

Flair got bumped on the outside and peeled of his suit jacket and climbed into the ring in a rage. Triple H was trying to calm him down as the show went to a…

Benoit with a series of suplexes, then he headed to the corner, but had to knock Batista and Flair out of his way. Benoit finally came off the top turnbuckle, but Triple H moved out of the way. Batista with a power slam on Benoit, then he Irish whipped him once again.

Triple H tripped when he went to fling Benoit across the ring, but went for a cover anyway. When that didn’t work, he began to stretch Benoit, even using Batista as leverage.

Batista and Jericho tagged in. Chop block on Batista and Jericho tried to put him in the Walls. Roll-up and near fall by Jericho. Batista went for a power bomb, but Jericho with an inzuigiri and a springboard dropkick. Benoit with a diving head butt on Batista, then Benoit put him in the sharpshooter. Triple H interfered, so Benoit put him in the crossface. Batista pulled Benoit off and gave him a spinebuster for the win.

(Commercial break)

Quarter Hour 6

Mick Foley came out to a huge pop from the Huntsville crowd. He said the holidays wouldn’t be complete without a cheap Mick Foley book plug. He had “Christmas Chaos” with him, but that wasn’t his announcement. He said although he’d been a Raw guy of late, next week he’d be going to Smackdown. But it would be a very special Smackdown, it would be the holiday show from Iraq. Clips aired of last year’s Christmas show.
As Foley continued speaking about how honored he was to be able to support American’s troops, Hassan and Daivari came out to interrupt.

A loud “USA” chant started as Daivari introduced Hassan, who addressed Mick Foley. Rather rudely. Then the “What?” chants started. Hassan said he was a prisoner in his own country. Blah, blah, blah.

Foley appreciated his passion, but disagreed with almost every word he’d said. But isn’t it wonderful that he lived in a great country where he was free to express his views, no matter how stupid they sound, he said.

Hassan continued until Foley said he’d “pissed him off.” Hassan and Daivari advanced toward the ring as Foley said he supported America–the land of the free and the home of the brave. Foley invited them to step into Foley Island (the ring) where they would feel his fist in their mouth and his boot in their ass.

Hassan had taken off his shirt to climb into the ring, then turned around and left, saying he didn’t respect Foley enough to fight him.

(Commercial break)

Quarter Hour 7

Highlights were shown of last week’s Women’s Title match, including Lita’s scary dive to the outside. Lita had walked away the winner.

Todd Grisham was interviewing Trish about her loss last week. She got her broken nose out of joint and told “Tom” she’d slap the glasses off his face. She said Lita had better enjoy the title while she has it.

Rochelle, yet another busty diva, was being interviewed by Eric Bischoff when Edge burst in. He was pleading his case (in a whiney sort of way) and Bischoff told him that after he’d made his announcement, Edge would have something he’d never had before. Ah, poor gullible Edge.

(Commercial break)

(3) Six-Man Tag Match: Maven, Christian & Tyson Tomko over Eugene, William Regal, & Shelton Benjamin. Christian started by pummeling Eugene, who reached into his trunks and pulled out Mr. Socko. Airplane spins for Christian and a toss to the outside for Maven. Tomko tagged in to solve some problems, then it was Maven’s turn. Eugene was unable to make it to his corner to make the tag to a teammate. Eugene with a stunner to Maven, and he tagged Benjamin in. Benjamin cleaned house, but Stinger splashed himself into the corner. It turned into a brawl, with Eugene pulling out Mr. Socko and Maven rolled up Shelton Benjamin for a surprise pin.

The interactive vote was for a Triple Threat Rematch.

Bischoff, with the title belt over his shoulder, headed out the door to the ring. He ran into Triple H, who begged Bischoff to make the right decision. He was practically in tears as he tried to persuade Bischoff to do what was right for business. And, of course, Triple H was right for business.

Bischoff said he take it into consideration.

(Commercial break)

Next Monday will be a “Best of” show.

Eric Bischoff’s music hit and he headed down the ramp to announce his decision about the World Heavyweight Title. He called Triple H, Chris Benoit and Edge down to the ring.

Quarter Hour 9

Triple H came out with Batista and Flair, and Bischoff said he’d asked him to come alone. Triple H said Evolution had more wins than anyone and the champ should be a winner.

He could have given the belt to Benoit or Edge. But his third choice was for an Elimination Chamber to take place at New Year’s Revolution on January 9, 2005. The title would remain vacant until that time. It would be Benoit vs. Edge vs. Triple H vs. Chris Jericho vs. Batista vs. Randy Orton. When Batista’s name was announced the jaws of both Triple H and Flair dropped. With all the competitors standing in the ring, a fight broke out when Bischoff left. Triple H started to leave, but ran into Orton on the ramp, who began to punch Triple H, then threw him into the ring. Orton started to give Triple H an RKO, but Batista interrupted, so Orton RKO’d him instead. As the show ended, Triple H was headed up the ramp and Orton was pointing to him. Maybe Triple H ought to go back and read a few chapters of Making the Game before that big match.

Only three matches on this show, but it was a good one nonetheless.

xx WWE RAW Report (12/20/04) - Best of 2004 Special
« Reply #35 on: Dec 21st, 2004, 08:35am »

Raw Report for December 20, 2004
By Richard Trionfo of pwinsider.com

Since we are approaching Christmas and New Year’s, it is time for the WWE to take a look back at the past year on Raw. We can only hope that the ‘Best of 2004’ does not have the same problem that they did last year when Raw presented one of their best matches of the year on television the following Monday with Shawn Michaels facing Triple H for the title.

Your announcers are Jonathan Coachman and Jerry Lawler in an empty arena as they talk about what we will see on tonight’s show. Coach talks about how when you think about emotion, you think about Wrestlemania XX.

Our first match is Chris Jericho versus Christian at Wrestlemania XX.
Jericho and Christian exchange punches and then Jericho with a flying forearm. Jericho with a drop toehold followed by the Big Bossman Splash in the ropes and an enziguiri for a two count. Jericho with a rollup, but Christian reverses with the help of the ropes for a near fall. Jericho with a Northern Lights Suplex and bridge. Christian bridges out of the hold. Jericho with a bulldog followed by the Lionsault, but he lands on Christian’s knees. We fast forward to Trish Stratus running/bouncing to the ring to show support for her man. Meanwhile in the ring, Jericho and Christian exchange more punches. Christian with an Impaler DDT for a two count. Trish gets on the apron, and Christian pulls her into the ring and throws her down in the corner. Jericho sends Christian out of the ring. Trish ‘accidentally’ elbows Jericho in the face, allowing Christian to get a rollup victory. We fast forward to the post-match festivities. Christian returns to the ring, and then Trish slaps Jericho twice, followed by an Unprettier. Trish and Christian stand over Jericho as we fast forward to Christian and Trish on the ramp as they kiss. We go to commercial.

We are back with a WWE Rewind: Vince McMahon making Coach wear a dress at Taboo Tuesday.

It is time for Coach to ask Lawler to act mature, unless he was trying to act like Eugene. Time to look back at the debut of Eugene. We see William Regal in the Bischoffice with Eric. We see footage of the first meeting between the two, followed by Regal telling Bischoff he does not want to do it. Then we see Eugene licking Lawler’s head, Eugene setting off the pyro, Eugene with the Rock, Eugene shaving Eric’s head, Eugene shooting the t-shirt gun in Regal’s nether regions, Christy kissing Eugene, Trish being called a slut by Eugene, Eugene saying that Triple H was his favorite wrestler to the Rock. Then we see Eugene in training and imitating many wrestlers’ moves. Then we see Eugene winning the tag title and then celebrating in the ring with some kids. We go to commercial.

We are back with the Shelton Benjamin video package about growing up in South Carolina, and what he had to deal with as a child. Coach and Lawler talk about Shelton’s return to Raw in March.

Shelton Benjamin versus Triple H (March 29, 2004) [Here is the full match as it aired on that date]:

We are back and it is Game Time as Triple H (with GameFountain) comes to the ring. His opponent is Shelton Benjamin. Hunter with a light slap to Benjamin on a break. Benjamin with a couple of takedowns, and Hunter makes it to the ropes. Benjamin with a light slap to Hunter. Hunter with a shoulder block, and then Benjamin nips up when Hunter comes off the ropes. Hunter tries for a Pedigree, but Benjamin gets out of it. Hunter shows Benjamin that he was close to losing. Benjamin with a shoulder block, and then he gets Hunter in a backslide. Benjamin shows Hunter that he was close to losing. Hunter talks to the ref, and then he goes after Benjamin, but Shelton with a fireman’s carry. Arm drag and arm bar by Benjamin. Hunter catches Benjamin’s leg and spins him around, but Benjamin with the Dragon Whip for a two count. From out of nowhere, Ric Flair comes to ringside. Hunter throws Benjamin outside and tries to distract the ref to allow Flair to take advantage of Benjamin, but from out of nowhere, Chris Benoit comes out to even the sides. We go to commercial.

We are back and Benjamin bridges out of a top wristlock and gets Hunter in an arm bar. Hunter with the Harley Race High Knee. Benjamin with a small package, and then Hunter sends Benjamin into the ringpost. Hunter sends him across the ring into the other ringpost. Hunter with a neckbreaker. Hunter with a suplex followed by the Ric Flair knee drop. Hunter with a sleeper. Benjamin with a back elbow to Hunter and both men are down. Back body drop by Benjamin. Benjamin with a side takedown followed by sleeper. Hunter with a belly-to-back suplex. Hunter goes off the second rope, but flies into a boot. Hunter does the Flair Flop as both men are down. Benjamin clothesline Hunter over the top rope, and he eats the barrier. Benjamin with a clothesline off the apron. Flair tries to distract Benjamin. Benjamin sends Hunter into the steps. Benjamin goes up top and hits a clothesline, but only gets a two count. Hunter with a hot shot on Benjamin into the turnbuckle. Benjamin with a powerslam for a two count. The reverend/wedding guy says that he can see that their relationship is unique, and he says that Kane has a video to show how much he cares about her. Of course the song playing is ‘Your Having My Baby’. Time for the vows, and Kane goes first followed by Lita. Before we move on, from out of nowhere, Trish Stratus comes out and offers to be the maid of honor. Lita attacks her maid of honor for saying a few nasty things about her. WWE RAW Report
January 3, 2005
Aired LIVE! from Long Island, New York
Reported by: The Worm from rajah.com

Hi everyone! I apologize for having missed the past few weeks, as I had some things come up that prevented me from doing the report. I hope everyone has had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. So much has happened during my break, the big thing being HBK’s return as special referee at New Year’s Revolution for the Elimination Chamber match.

We see Bischoff backstage with the title and he reminds everyone of the fact that the winner of the Elimination Chamber match will be the new undisputed World Heavyweight Champion. Bischoff announces that tonight the Chamber competitors will have an opportunity to face each other, and that first such match gets underway now.

Match #1 (Singles) - Batista vs. Chris Benoit:

They lock up and Batista shoves Benoit down. They try again, but this time Batista backs Benoit up into a corner to ram a couple of knees to the midsection and a club to the back. Benoit gains the offensive as he takes Batista down with a dragon screw, and then he attempts the Sharpshooter, but Batista kicks him off. Batista fires back with a backbreaker and then he goes over to expose the turnbuckle. This allows Benoit to recover and deliver the rolling Germans. Benoit signals for the flying headbutt, but before he can execute it, Batista rolls out of the way and Benoit jumps down.

They’re fighting on the outside now and Batista slams Benoit’s head into the security barrier before tossing him back in. Batista sends Benoit into the corner, but Benoit kicks out. Benoit goes up top, but Batista crotches him on the top rope. Batista delivers a fisherman suplex to Benoit off the top and he goes for the pin cover, but Benoit kicks out.

Batista cinches in a half Boston crab and Benoit is screaming in pain. Batista takes Benoit’s hand and makes him tap out, but the match isn’t over yet. Benoit fires back with chops, but Batista cuts him off with a knee to the gut. He follows it up with a Batista spinebuster and he goes for a couple of pin covers, but Benoit kicks out of both of them.

Batista picks up Benoit, but Benoit recovers and he delivers an enziguiri to the back of Batista’s head. Both men are down and Benoit is struggling to stay on his feet. Benoit connects with a low dropkick and then he goes for the pin, but Batista kicks out. Batista regains control for a moment as he tries to slam Benoit, but Benoit sidles out and delivers a German suplex. Benoit goes up and delivers the flying headbutt. Benoit goes for another pin, but Batista manages to kick out.

Benoit dropkicks the back of Batista’s legs, but Batista tries to go for another spinebuster, which Benoit counters into the crossface. Batista manages to power out of it, and he carries Benoit over to the turnbuckle and slams his head multiple times into the turnbuckle.

Batista sets Benoit up for the Batista Bomb and he manages to deliver one sick looking powerbomb to win the match.

Winner: Batista

Later on we will have the Arab-American debate between Hussan/Daivari & Lawler/J.R. as we go to commercial.

Backstage, Flair is sharing his excitement for Batista’s victory with Triple H. It seems like Flair likes Triple H more than he does Batista. Batista reminds Triple H of the bet they made last week, and Batista wants his money. Triple H tells Flair to give him $100, but Batista doesn’t want Flair’s money, he wants Triple H’s. Triple H isn’t happy, but he brings out a $100, but Batista admits he was only kidding.

We see Maria standing backstage, who has to interview Gene Snitsky later on. The announcers go back to Taboo Tuesday and recap the match between Snitsky & Kane.

Maria asks Snitsky how he feels about his match with Kane on Sunday. Snitsky is surprised because after what he did to Kane at Taboo Tuesday, he didn’t think Kane would ever be back. Snitsky asks Maria if she likes surprises, and then whispers something into her ear, which causes her to leave. Snitsky has a surprise in store for Kane, and it’s something he’s not gonna like.

We then see Edge with Bischoff, and he wants to know why Bischoff is messing with Edge. He wants to know why he named HBK the special guest referee for Sunday. Edge is worried that HBK’s gonna cost him his shot at the title, just like he cost HBK his world title shot when he speared him. Edge’s match is up next as we go to another commercial.

Match #2 (Singles) - Edge vs. Chris Jericho:

They lock up and Edge wraps around Jericho. Jericho reverses it and takes Edge down. Jericho puts Edge into a bow and arrow submission and Edge quickly gets out of it. Edge kicks Jericho in the gut and then puts him into the corner to work him over with forearm shivers. Jericho comes back with chops and then sends Edge over into the corner with a punch. Edge fires back with punches of his own and then whips Jericho, who grabs onto the ropes. Edge charges after him, but Jericho sends him spilling out of the ring. Jericho misses a baseball slide, but we go to commercial after the two competitors clothesline each other at the same time.

Back on Raw, Edge has Jericho in a unique armbar. Jericho tries to fight out of it, and then he whips Edge. Edge kicks him in the gut and then plants him with a DDT. Edge goes for a pin, but Jericho kicks out and then Edge reapplies an armbar on Jericho.

Jericho works his way up, and then he whips Edge. Jericho delivers a flying forearm and follows it up with a modified bulldog. Jericho goes for the Lionsault, but he lands on his feet. Jericho connects with a hurricanrana and then goes for a pin, but Edge kicks out. The two continue to exchange offense, and Jericho connects with a enziguiri. Jericho goes for his running knee, but Edge gets off the ropes and delivers a boot to the head of Jericho. Edge goes for the Edgecution, but Jericho counters out and connects with a Northern Lights suplex. Edge kicks out, but Jericho goes for the Walls, but Edge kicks him off. Jericho nails Edge, and follows it up with a couple of pin covers, but Edge kicks out.

Jericho is getting frustrated as he rears back and kicks Edge sharply in the ribs. Jericho goes up top, but Edge recovers and crotches him on the ropes. Edge tries to connect with a superplex, but Jericho knocks him off as Edge crashes face first into the mat. Jericho goes for a cross body, but Edge ducks out of the way. Edge is signaling for the Spear, but as he charges, Jericho leapfrogs him and ends up getting him into a victory roll, which Edge counters into a pin of his own and wins the match as he uses the ropes.

Winner: Edge

Man, I want Edge to win the Elimination Chamber a la a shady finish, but it’s just not gonna happen as Jericho will be able to get his revenge as I’m sure he’ll be the one to eliminate Edge.

We see the Coach backstage with Orton, and the question tonight is, will Orton beat Triple H? Tonight is the first chance Orton has had to face Triple H since losing his title to him. In 2004, Triple H took everything away from Orton but in 2005, Orton will take everything away from Triple H when he beats him 1, 2, 3 with an R.K.O.

Commercial Break

Best brithday wishes go out to Jim Ross, as today is his birthday.

Match #3 (Singles) - Sylvain Grenier (w/ Robert Conway) vs. Shelton Benjamin:

Before the match can get started, we’re interrupted by Maven. Sylvain Grenier takes advantage of this distraction by knocking Benjamin off the apron. Grenier chokes Benjamin with his foot in the corner and then delivers a vertical suplex. Grenier cinches in a rear chin lock and Maven has joined the announce team for this match. Grenier manages to deliver a back suplex and then whips Benjamin into a corner. Benjamin elbows his way out, but Grenier locks on a full nelson.

Benjamin gets up and rams Grenier’s back into the corner and then the two exchange blows. Benjamin is in control as he delivers a clothesline and follows it up with a Stinger Splash. Conway offers some distraction, Grenier delivers a dropkick and then tries to kip up, but he obviously botches it. Benjamin wins this match with the T-Bone Suplex after Grenier had kicked out of the previous pin cover.

Winner: Shelton Benjamin

We then see a video package highlighting the making of the Chamber and the last two matches that the Chamber was involved in.

Backstage, we see Hussan and Daivari getting ready for their debate as we go to commercial.

The WWE Slam of the Week (I think) recaps Hussan & Daivari roughing up JR and the King last week.

Jim Ross & Jerry Lawler vs. Mohammad Hussan & Khosrow Daivari (The Arab-American Debate):

I didn’t know Mohammad Hussan was from Michigan. I’ve gotta support the local guys, so let’s see how this debate turns out.

The Grish is moderating this debate and he asks if Hussan & Daivari were unfairly persecuted since 9/11. Before they can answer, we hear loud USA chants throughout the arena (which seems kinda dumb to me in that everyone in the ring is an American). Hussan says the US is a racist nation at its core, after all, the country was founded on slavery. Before and after 9/11, Arabs were discriminated against and he remembers a time in the country where people would at least pretend to be polite even though just like now you can still see the underlying contempt in the people’s eyes.

Then 9/11 happened and everything came out and the people used a national tragedy as an excuse to let their feelings for Arab Americans come out and now they believe they have a right to discriminate against without consequence. Don’t deny it because if they went up the road during New Year’s Eve, they would have been searched and for what reason, because they look different than everyone else? The US deserves everything that’s been happening to them.

It is now time for the King’s rebuttal. Are there racists in this country? I’ve got news for you Hussan, there are racists and idiots everywhere in the world. If they have a problem with the US, they can come out and express that, but last week they called the troops gutless cowards and that is unacceptable. He doesn’t think that the people hate Hussan & Daivari because they’re Arabs, but rather that they’re loud-mouthed obnoxious jackasses. The Grish tries to restore order, and Hussan says King is right. Most Arab Americans aren’t like them, because they make him sick. (Asshole chants ring out)

You see, most Arab Americans sit back quietly and take the abuse. They try to hide their heritage, unlike Hussan, who won’t embrace a racist nation. JR has been silent thus far and Hussan calls him on it. Hussan thinks it sickens JR that he is just as American as he is and that Hussan is just as an American as apple pie. More trash talk from Hussan to JR ensues, and JR has something to say to Hussan. America is not a perfect place, but what country is? When you unfairly characterize everyone as a racist, he’s got a little advice for both of them. As far as America is concerned, you either love it or you leave it. Hussan knocks over the podium and he proceeds to intimidate JR.

They then decide to back off, but Hussan slugs JR and the King tries to go after Hussan. Daivari holds the King back, and Hussan lays it into the King. Hussan then chokes out JR with his belt while Daivari continues the trash talk. The King struggles to make it back up, and we see him wrap a belt around his fist. The King gets into the ring, but he can’t stay up on his feet. He takes a swing at the Arab duo, but he falls down. The King’s face is bloodied as the Arabs back up the ring with smiles on their face.

The Coach is taking over the announce duties after JR and the King were attacked a few moments ago. Is it just me or does the Coach have a black eye? One of his sunglasses lenses appears to be darker than the other.

Match #4 (Singles) - Trish Stratus vs. Victoria:

Man, Victoria is looking fine in her outfit tonight, but Trish is looking good too.

Trish knocks Victoria down and proceeds to punch her in the face. Trish slams Victoria in the corner and then works her over with kicks to the gut. Trish connects with a snapmare and then lifts up by her hair and then slams her down. Trish goes for a pin, but Victoria kicks out.

Trish mounts Victoria and punches her in the face some more, but now Victoria is trying to fight back, but Trish denies that. Trish puts Victoria in the corner, and then knocks her down. She goes up top and puts Victoria in a hangman’s choke.

Trish clotheslines Victoria in the back of the neck and Trish continues to punish Victoria’s back and neck area. Trish guillotines Victoria and then signals for the Stratusfaction, but Victoria counters it with a back suplex. Victoria fires off a few punches, but Trish kicks her and then goes for a Chick Kick, but Victoria ducks and tries to roll her up to no avail. Victoria is mounting some offense as she headbutts Trish and follows it up with a body slam. Victoria goes for her shaky shaky moonsault, but Trish gets her knees up and she scores with a Chick Kick to the back of the head for the victory.

Winner: Trish Stratus

Trish takes the stick and tells Lita that what just happened will be part of what is in store for Lita at New Year’s Revolution. Lita’s music hits and Lita comes down to the ring with the Women’s title around her waist. A fight ensues with the two exchanging blows. Lita is in control as she tries to send a message to Trish. Just then, an explosion is heard and Lita stops her attack to look up at the stage. It doesn’t matter though as Lita continues with her attack. We see Snitsky enter the ring and Lita clubs him in the head. She turns around and is met with a Chick Kick from Trish.

Snitsky leaves the ring and grabs a chair. He fits the chair around Lita’s throat and the ring goes dark. Kane’s music hits and the Big Red Machine has returned!!! Snitsky immediately goes after Kane, but Kane takes the rookie to school. Snitsky is knocked over the barrier and Kane tries to continue the assault, but he is held back by officials. Kane goes into the ring and he checks on his wife. He helps her up and Lita is in shock, but she is happy that her husband has returned.

This Sunday at NYR, we will be seeing Hassan vs. The King after The Coach announces that King talked to Bischoff about a match. We will also be seeing Benjamin vs. Maven for the IC Title. The Coach runs through the other matches.

Backstage, we see the sexy & voluptuous Christy Hemme posing for pictures and she’s gotta a nice tight shirt on. She’s interrupted by Eugene and Eugene says she has pretty red hair like Lindsay Lohan. Eugene likes her music and Christy wants him to sing a song. He sings a part of her single and Regal comes up to remind Eugene of his upcoming match with Christian. Christy offers to help motivate Eugene and the two leave. Regal decides to listen to Eugene’s CD and then proceeds to have a seizure while singing along. Christy & Eugene catch him in the act and then the two take off to get ready for the match.

Match #5 (Singles) - Eugene (w/ William Regal) vs. Christian (w/ Tyson Tomko):

They lock up and Eugene locks on a headlock. Christian whips Eugene, but Eugene connects with a shoulder block. Eugene imitates Hulk Hogan, but Christian kicks him in the gut and then he bounces off the ropes, but Eugene picks him up into a gorilla press slam and follows it with a big splash. Christian kicks out of the pin attempt, so Eugene pounds Christian’s head into the turnbuckle. Eugene goes up top, but Tomko knocks him off. Regal distracts Christian, so Christian tosses Regal out so Tomko can get in some cheap shots.

Christian tweaks Eugene’s neck, and Eugene tries to fight out of it, but Christian slams Eugene down using his hair. He picks up Eugene, but Eugene quickly recovers and hits the Rock Bottom.

Eugene crawls into the cover, but Christian kicks out. Eugene is getting pissed off now, and as Christian charges, he is picked up into an airplane spin. Christian attempts the Unprettier, but Eugene counters it into a double chicken wing. Tomko tries to interfere, but Eugene throws him out. The two exchange pin covers, but Christian steals this one as he pins Eugene using Tomko to hold him down.

Winner: Christian

Backstage, Flair confronts Triple H, who is getting ready for his match with Randy Orton. Triple H wants Flair at his side, but he tells Batista to hang back because he wants to show the world that Orton was a tag-along the entire time. There’s more tension between Batista and Triple H, and now it’s time for a commercial break.

Main Event (Singles) - Triple H vs. Randy Orton:

My laptop died on me before I could start typing this match up, so I apologize for the inconvenience. Before the match started, JR rejoined the announce team.

Randy Orton defeated Triple H after delivering an RKO. During the match, Triple H used the ref to take out Orton in order to counter a sleeper, and this prompted all of the Chamber competitors to come out. HBK came out donning a ref uniform and he counted the successful pinfall.

Randy Orton is ready for the Rumble.

The “Legend Killer” dropped Evolution’s Ric Flair with an RKO on RAW, gaining crucial momentum heading into Sunday’s huge pay-per-view. Triple H tried to soften Orton up before their big match, pulling out the referee and then going to work on Randy’s left leg. He drove the World Heavyweight Championship belt into Orton’s knee, and after a Flair Figure-Four Leglock things didn’t look good for the former Evolution protégé. But Orton’s ability to turn a match on a dime proved pivotal again. He hit his finisher, and before Flair or Triple H knew what had happened, it was all over. WATCH: 56k | 300k

The night took a twist for Evolution when both Batista and Ric Flair secured spot in the 30-man, over-the-top Royal Rumble Match. The Game wasn’t sure he wanted allies vying for a shot at his World Heavyweight Championship, but he came around with the logic that the more men in the Rumble Match, the better the odds of the title staying with Evolution at WrestleMania.

Batista qualified by overcoming monstrous odds — stopping both members of La Resistance in a Handicap Royal Rumble Qualifying Match. Evolution’s animal first put down Sylvain Grenier before hitting a thunderous spinebuster, piling Robert Conway onto Grenier’s prone body. After that, Batista was able to pick up an easy three-count.

The bigger surprise was the news that fellow Evolution member Ric Flair would also compete in the Royal Rumble Match on Jan. 30, courtesy of a request to General Manager Eric Bischoff by the Cerebral Assassin himself. Flair is no stranger to the Rumble; he won it in 1992 from starting position No. 3. Now, Triple H will have Evolution fully represented in the Royal Rumble Match in Fresno, Calif.

The RAW roster of 15 Superstars rounded out on Monday Night. Joining Batista and Flair were Muhammad Hassan, Viscera and Jonathan Coachman. Hassan won a qualifier against Val Venis; Viscera bullied Tajiri in an “Over-the-Top” Qualifying Challenge; and Jonathan Coachman was offered William Regal’s spot by Eric Bischoff out of pure spite.

Maven thought he found a backdoor into the Royal Rumble Match by challenging a current qualifier in a battle for that spot. But much to his chagrin, the two men to accept the challenge were Gene Snitsky and Kane. The two bitter rivals were bruised, beaten and slowed by last week’s devastation, and Maven tried to take advantage. In the end, Kane summoned the strength to hoist Maven for a chokeslam and get the cover. Maven will have to buy a ticket to be near the Rumble Match in Fresno.

In addition to participating in the Royal Rumble Match itself, Edge and Shawn Michaels will go at it one-on-one. The fans in attendance in Oklahoma City, Okla., got a taste of what that heated matchup will be like during a six-man tag match on RAW. HBK, Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho battled Edge, Christian and Tyson Tomko. Michaels was able to land Sweet Chin Music on the “Problem Solver,” allowing Benoit to roll Tomko up and get the win. The result that only further incited Edge’s rage heading into Sunday’s pay-per-view.

It was a special night for RAW’s own J.R. Governor Brad Henry declared it “Jim ‘J.R.’ Ross Day” in the state of Oklahoma.

Unfortunately, Evolution ruined the ceremony, berating then attacking J.R. and intimidating Stacy Keibler. Only Randy Orton intervening saved Stacy from falling victim to the Pedigree.

Event: WWE Monday Night RAW Results
Date: Monday, January 31th, 2005
Location: San Jose, California
Results by Carl Walsh of PowerWrestling.Com

Just 24 hours after the Royal Rumble, we are here tonight with J.R in the King in San Jose! Tonight we will have a steel cage match when Kane goes one on one with Gene Snitsky! We will also have a tag team match featuring Randy Orton and Shawn Michaels vs. HHH and Ric Flair!

Still World Heavyweight Champion..

The music of the game hits and he comes to the ramp in a suit along with Ric Flair. HHH pauses at the top of the ramp to blow a kiss to the world title around his shoulder as he successfully defended it last night against Randy Orton. HHH pauses on the apron to give the world title a big hug as he smiles to the crowd. He walks up on the ropes a bit before finally getting a mic to Ric Flair's mouth. He says there once was a man that was so good in this business, that he NEVEr would second guess himself. He says then along came a guy named Shawn Michaels and the word "arguably" came around. But now, that word does not exist, only the greatest in the world exists and now there is only one! He says HHH is the measuring stick for what IS great. He then introduces HHH as the greatest wrestler alive today. HHH gets on the mic and says "Randy Orton, so much for destiny my friend." He says he is destiny and in this ring, he controls destiny. He says he could sit here and put himself over but he doesn't need to do that because all these people know it. He says he is out here to talk about something else. He says it was ALMOST as great as his night. He says years from now people were telling their kids that they were there the year they unleashed the beast. HHH introduces Batista to a nice pop from the crowd. He comes out in a suit all pumped up. He gets through the ropes and shakes the hands of HHH and Ric Flair before showboating for the crowd a little bit.

HHH says that he heard some talk about controversy over last night's Royal Rumble, but last night, he took number 29, John Cena, and threw him out 3 damn times! This is the man, says HHH. HHH says that Dave knows how he feels about him. He says he is going to stand here in front of the whole world and tell him to his face: "I'm proud of you man.. I really am." He says this is what they talked about in the beginning, going all the way to the top, because of loyalty. He goes through the whole "when I met you you were lost and now you are this and that.." He says that Batista is NOW a Royal rumble winner, just like himself and Ric Flair. HHH says Batista is so close, and he says it will be his priviledge and honor to walk to the ring at WrestleMania and DEFEND the title against Batista. He says that it is time. Batista takes the mic and says HHH, The Game, my man! I love hearing whatcha think about me, now let me tell you what I think about you. We then shoot via sattelite to JBL (last night) on the Titan Tron who says that he gives Batista credit for winning the Royal Rumble, but he is NOT in his league. He says if Batista wants to come to Smackdown with his Tarzan body because JBL will make him look like Jane because he is a wrestling God. HHH says there is only one God and that is him. He also calls JBL foghorn leghorn. He then goes on to say that nobody will ruin Evolution's night at WrestleMania because it will be HHH vs. Batista, and that is final!

HHH then calls the troups and Evolution heads to the locker room, Batista didn't even get a chance to talk.

Shelton Benjamin comes down to the ring to defend his IC title on this episode of Raw!

Intercontinental Title Match
Shelton Benjamin (c) vs. Simon Dean

Simon works Shelton early in the corner with hard rights and knees to the gut of the champion. Simon goes for a suplex, Benjamin gets out, but Simon kicks him in the gut. Simon comes off the ropes but he runs right into a shoulder block from Benjamin. Simon goes for something from his bad, Chioda takes it, but he holds the bag up and Shelton splashes himself right into the bag. Simon covers for a two count.

Shelton and Simon exchange blows, Simon goes for blow but Shelton kicks him in the gut. Shelton goes for another kick but Simon catches his foot. Shelton nails his spinning heel kick and pins Simon Dean for the victory.

Winner and STILL Intercontinental Champion: Shelton Benjamin

Note: Before the match Jim ross said that Shelton was not happy about not being on Raw last week and he has an open contract and will defend the title anywhere, anytime.

After the match:

Simon gets on the mic and says the only reason shelton beat him is because he uses the Simon System. shelton comes back into the ring and gives him the stinger splash and T-Bone exploder suplex!

HHH wants to know..

HHH is with Bischoff asking him who the hell put that JBL thing on the Titan Tron. Bischoff says he does not know. HHH threatens him and says he is going to pay if HHH finds out that this is some trade work by Bischoff. Bischoff says he does not deal well with threats, HHH threatens him more. When HHH leaves, Bischoff says "we'll see about that."

We are joined by Edge:

Christi is shooting t-shirts into the crowd when the music of Edge hits. He comes to the ring and he is pissed off over something for sure. He gets in the face of Christi and tells her to stop trying to embarass him like this! STOP MOCKING ME. He then says "you don't know what I'm talking about?" He then explains that she is shooting shirts into the crowd, he yells at her to open the gun up so we can see the shirt. She does and shows the camera a WrestleMania 21 shirt. Edge freaks out and talks about how damn close he was to winning the Rumble and how close he was to headlining WrestleMania. He then says if Christi likes to embarass him, he will embarass her! This brings out Shawn Michaels though. Michaels says embarassing? I'll tell you what's embarassing, having to come out here and look you in the eye and admit that you put one by the Heart Break Kid. His mic is dying so he gets a new one and chucks the old one. He says something about his mic being broken and THAT is embarassing. He then talks about losing the Rumble thanks to Kurt Angle, and then he busted his pretty head open! HBK freaks a bit and says that he has a little anger built up and last night was not a good night for him. He then goes on to say that they should go at it again, tonight! HBK vs. Edge! Edge says the crowd would really like that, but it is not going to happen. Edge says HBK needs to fulfill his promise and shake Edge's hand before Edge lays a beating on HBK worse than Angle did last night. HBK slowly goes for the hand of Edge, and he does shake it. Edge goes on to say "Now why don't you get the hell out..." SUPERKICK! Edge falls flat on his back as HBK boasts to the crowd after sending Edge down with the sweet chin music!

Maven vs. Hurricane

MAven kicks the gut of Hurricane early but Hurricane reverses and gets a shoulder block and does a "whassupwitdat?" He reverses another blow before nailing Maven with a flying kick to the head. Hurricane gets whipped and jumps up, Maven grabs his legs and gives him a spinning sidewalk slam. Maven whips him to the other corner and when Hurricane bounces off he gives him a shot to the small of his back.

Maven controls the Hurricane on the ropes with a choke before nailing him with a back suplex and placing him in a rear chin lock. Hurricane fights up and nails a nice lariot sending Maven down. The two exchange blows until Hurricane hits a big elbow followed by a back body drop.

The Hurricane climbs the top rope to go for the blockbuster but he misses. Maven grabs him by the shoulders and he drops him right on his knees! Sick move. Maven makes the cover and gets the victory!

Winner: Maven
