Am in the midst of a bloody diabolical week - there's been a big flat move and assuch we've had stuff in boxes, out of boxes, around in vans, tempers have been frayed and although I've only just got my room arranged I need to un-arrange it at an uncertain time soon when cleaners come and fix the shitty, hole ridden carpet.

To my left are roughly 500 CDs, some games and DVDs in a disorganised heap because I can't be bothered putting my CD racks up, and the drum kit in the back corner needs assembling and tuning, which I can assure you is about as fun as repeatedly hitting yourself in the groin with the pointy end of a claw hammer.

So, at 0345 I am too tired to do any more work, but too awake to sleep. I'm considering a trip to Alldays to get thumb tacks to put the posters up, but it looks cold out and I'm a little too wired to get there and back without starting a fight, getting mugged or buying some dope.

However, what I do now have is a sense of excitement for the weeks ahead. Admittedly I won't be on holiday in the weeks coming, which sucks ass, but I will have a room I can move in (the last one was about 5 and a half feet by 8 feet), a storage unit which doesn't fall over every 30 minutes (assembly providing) and a therapist to tell me how to control my assorted personal problems.

Now, does anyone want some fags, porn or milk..?

Ooh, controversial, considering they're a bunch of talentless, unoriginal crusties. As for the singer's heroin problem... well that so passé!

The bass player in my band went to Reading and had back stage passes because he's friends with the Libertines' drummer (ironically enough).

But he didn't see anyone famous at all!
But famous, I mean I hadn't heard of the people he was listing.
I hope none of them were in the Libertines.

No offence Oxfez but that post shows you know Fuck all about music, they are very talented and there music is original. I take it you were on about Pete Doherty when you tried to diss the singer, well Carl actually does as much if not more singing and since Pete was kicked out of the band until he gets cleaned up (from drugs) Carl carried the whole set and he was brilliant.
Petes replacement was awesome aswell although he left the singing to Carl Barat.

I'm geussing you like shit metal or emo bands so don't even bother trying to Diss brilliant bands like the Libertines.

I wonder what the average lifespan of records like Him or Korn is?

The Libertines self titled album and up the bracket album will be listened to in many years to come just like Definitly Maybe or Nevermind.

Why would you guess that?

Because I don't like the Libertines, you postulate that I like metal and know "Fuck all" about music.

That's quite a conclusion to make young man!

In fact I probably do know a bit about music, having been in bands for about 9 years, made three studio recordings as drummer, guitarist and singer, and currently try to keep as up to date as I can with music, though today's supposed "rock" music burns my very soul.
So I think I can probably - if cornered - spot musical talent when I hear it.

I don't really like metal.

And heroin addiction is definitely passé. It was even getting a bit old when Kurt did it.

What bands do you like then? I know most of the best bands are older ones but name some recent ones if you can.

I like bands from the early 90s grunge era (Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins, Alice in Chains, Mother Love Bone, etc.), and rock from the same era. The only metal band I slightly like is Metallica.

I Just Looovve McFly.

Don't worry, I was only kidding about McFly, I'd rather chew my lungs out than listen to them.

Right now I'm trying to book studio time for my band and it's proving as hard as a tattoo on a penis.

All the band work (except me) and they all get random days off, plus the studio is not answering.

It's almost lunchtime and I need a nap.
